Let’s make a plan.
My core program has three phases, and below is an outline of the major content I’ll cover with you. It’s important to understand ideally our work together has a 10-month horizon. The best, most complete plan has us starting after New Year’s Day of junior year and ending on or about the fall, early action deadline, which is typically in early November of senior year. However, I’m happy to structure your program at any point in the spring of your junior year and/or the summer before your senior year.
Each of my phases has a set “curriculum,” and I’d like you to commit to either an 8 or 6 session package. I can accommodate you whenever you start the process, simply by aligning our work with the best place for us to connect on your application journey.
Know your schools? Great, let’s start in the late spring of junior year. Want guidance all the way through? Ok, let’s start after Christmas Break. Finished with everything, but you want decision advice? Let’s pick up around Halloween your senior year.
I am also willing to advise only on The Common App personal statement — or the Univ. of Cali. “personal insight questions” — but require 4 meetings as a minimum.
the three phases
-
PHASE I (Jan. - Mar.)
we build your portfolio with three factors in mind: (1) region; (2) size; (3) acceptance: yield
we create a standardized testing plan (with preparation goals)
we review your total high school involvement (sports & activities)
we strategize your remaining community commitments
we discuss some career/life goals (majors and/or fields of study)
OPTIONAL - I ask that you complete a youscience profile
-
PHASE II (April - July)
we act on your portfolio by:
- building a personal, research-based spreadsheet of schools with Common Data Set information
- complete The Common App and/or individual applications as needed
- discuss, draft, revise your Common App personal statement
-
PHASE III (Aug. - Oct.)
strategize your decision horizon
plot the sequence of your application submissions including supplemental questions
discuss the FAFSA and financial aid generally (separate parent meeting avail. for a small additional fee)
outline post-application support, including advice for deferrals & waitlists
pricing for fall 2027 enrollment applications
(My prices align with industry norms for 2026 - 2027, which for IECA members is approx. $235/hour.)
$1,600 - $2,000 for the complete cycle (8 - 10 meetings total)
$1,200 for the 6 meeting package (the most popular choice -
does not include support for supplemental questions)
$200 per session (ad hoc & subject to availability)
personal statement only @ $800 (4 session pkg. required)
Each client enjoys unlimited email communication for ongoing clarification, advise, and encouragement!
I offer payment plans, and I’m agreeable to cost negotiation, based on financial need.
